The Spring/Summer 2018 fashion trends are nothing if not bright, bold and really quite beautiful. Consisting of pretty fashion attires and accessories, Summer 2018 promises to be one to remember.
Fashion trends are going back in time, precisely to the 1980s. Designers have eschewed all other eras to focus very clearly on the decade; 1980s. The silhouettes are all in place( think nipped waits, strong shoulders and long legs).
Still on Jeans......
P.S: If you buy one thing, let it be straight jeans.
Just a plain pair of high waisted plain jeans wedged into white ankle boots and worn with a loose-fit top tucked in will suffice for the spring.
Trench Coats too......
There are certain items that not only act as the glue that holds all together, more transient trends together but are also long term investments. Whether deconstructed and warped into something quite unusual, or adhered to tradition, there was a trench coat on almost every important runway I could think of. To be worn with anything and everything; bikini's to boardroom attire.
Then the sneakers......
It was Nicholas Ghesquire's futuristic, thick-soled trainers for Louis Vuitton that really got the crowds going during the tail end of this years Paris Fashion Week. Chunky kicks have come to stay, ranging from Yeezy 700, Balenciaga triple s Fila Disruptor, to mention but a few.
Bum Bags and Belt Bags
There's a real wide variety of bag trends for S/S 18, but the bum and belt bags stand heads and shoulders above the rest. It is the bum bag, or belt bag, should you want to sound more sophisticated.
Waist Belts too.......
It doesn't matter what kind of belt - just know that a waist belt is integral to the season's bigger shapes and volumes. Long belts with written inscriptions seems to be making a statement of late.
Loud Logos!!!
Fendi! Gucci! Balmain! Versace! Balenciaga! Calvin Klein! No major high fashion brand could leave their own labeling alone for S/S 18, and we can't blame them - if your'e spending the big bucks, you might as well shout it from the rooftops.
Prints and Patterns
From plaid to tartans, to polka dots, patterns never go out of style, the are here to stay. The memo? Keep it simple, monochrome maybe, and keep it in cool modern shapes.
Colors!
Expect to see vibrant pinks, reds, yellows and more in either monochrome blocks or artfully spliced together - apparently not to be toned down into a neutral,or two.
