According to reports by CNBC, Kobe Bryant’s estate could be looking at launching a personal brand, just weeks after news that its official contract with Nike came to an end.
Sources state that Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife has had legal filings for more that thirteen trademarks since May 2020 on behalf of Kobe’s estate. These trademarks include “Play Gigi’s Way,” “Mamba,” “Mambacita,” “Baby Mambas,” and “Mamba League,” Filed with “intent to use,” the trademarks cover everything from clothing, gym wear, loungewear and footwear.
Also, a point to note is that The Mamba Sports Academy has been renamed as the “Sports Academy.” It was a mutual agreement, made in accordance with the wishes of his estate,” stated the academy in a statement made in May 2020.
