Yesterday, Earl “DMX” Simmons’ memorial took place at the Barclays Center, New York. His casket was brought to the location in a monster truck, which led a procession of hundreds of Ruff Ryders on motorbikes from the rapper's hometown, Yonkers to the location.
Although the physical event was restricted to friends and family, the proceedings were broadcast live on BET, and online via DMX’s YouTube channel. In attendance were NAS, Swizz Beatz, Eve, Kanye West, and the late rapper's family.
The memorial featured performances by Kanye West and the Sunday service choir, a eulogy by Nas, and speeches by Ruff Ryder's label co-founders Waah Dean, Dee Dean, as well as Eve, Swizz Beatz, and Jadakiss. Take a look at it below.
