DMX passing was sad news to the entire world. He leaves behind a huge legacy of music and more. To top off his catalogue of albums and classics, he has a posthumous album which he reportedly completed before his passing.
The co-founder of Ruff Ryders, Darrin “Dee” Dean and DMX’s manager Craig Broadhead discussed in an interview on how DMX and his crew were locked in a studio in Nashville for four months to make the album. Expressing his regrets of the legends passing, while discussing the album, Dean said “like you probably have never heard no music like you heard on this one that we did right now. This is probably one of his great albums. One of the best. It’s a classic, for sure.”
BroadHead further stated “He [DMX] was excited about it, he couldn’t wait to promote it and get out there with the music.”
DMX himself was already building hype around the album, which he mentioned featured collaborations with Pop Smoke, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Usher, and more.
