WHY YOU SHOULD GO TO JAPAN FOR STREETWEAR

Tokyo, Japan is one of those places where everybody who is anybody who is big on street fashion wants to visit. Honestly, you owe it to yourself to pay her a visit if you want to learn more about the depths in which street-fashion can go. Japan is home to some of the most iconic labels and collections you know, and don't know about. The list goes from labels like Bape to others like Lad Musician, Flat Head Jeans, Almost Black and so much more. What Japan does best than most countries is to curate styles. Speaking on curating styles, lifestyles, has been pretty hard to figure out, as it seems to be misunderstood in other places, but in Tokyo Japan, the lines are not as blur. Lifestyle is basically putting your interest at the forefront of your clothing choices, and Japan does this extremely well. Being able to see ensembles in its most detailed form is a regular occurrence in Tokyo. It gives you a deeper appreciation for the styles you helped create in the west. Style doesn't die in Japan, they manifest themselves through the people that enjoy the sub-culture and styles surrounding them and then reinvented without losing the culture behind them. While admittedly, they do need work on the truer sense of the cultures that they subscribe to, their interest is definitely taken seriously. Many Japanese fashion enthusiasts go out of their way in the attempt of perfecting a style that they go for, and a lot of the time chances are taken. There’s always someone who is willing to go the extra mile and really go in deep into the vestiges of the style that they choose, and when you see these people, they inspire you, not necessarily to dress like them, but instead, it inspires you to go deeper into your very own style which is something that is very rare, because japan is a place where you can take those chances and its a place where nearly all the western brands are available, and all the Japanese ones as well. In Japan, quality, construction and detail take precedence. The real point is, you can take so many chances, because there is so much available. Japan literally begs you to mix and match like no other place in the world. From thrifting to high end, Japan invites you to experiment.
