Verdy and Uniqlo UT Unveils Female-Focused "RISE AGAIN BY VERDY" SS19 Capsule



Designer Verdy has collaborated with Uniqlo UT for a new capsule collection dubbed “RISE AGAIN BY VERDY.” The latest endeavor from the famed Japanese designer takes place alongside NIGO’s division at Uniqlo, and will feature a variety of graphic T-shirt’s and one-pieces for the female-focused capsule.


For those not familiar with Verdy and his Girls Don’t Cry imprint, it’s often dedicated to his wife and women at-large – with the new Uniqlo range, Verdy hopes to send a message of reinforced positivity to females all around the world in an effort to make them feel happy and empowered via clothing. These messages include “Break the Mold,” “Live Fast Live Long,” and “I’m the Luckiest. Alongside the typography, Verdy has emblazoned various pieces with his iconic rabbit character.

The lookbook includes renowned Japanese model Emma, who boasts a long-standing relationship with the graphic artist as well as Uniqlo UT’s creative director NIGO, who helped in sculpting the entire campaign as well as photographing it.

The collection will be available at Uniqlo Japan’s web store and in-stores on May 27, with prices set at ¥990 JPY (approximately $9 USD) for kids-size T-shirts, ¥1,500 JPY (approximately $14 USD) for T-shirts, and ¥1,990 JPY (approximately $18 USD) for the slit side one-pieces.
